Pure lines

“We teamed up with the late Chris Vantornout for this turnkey project,” explains Adelbert Matthijs. On the website of his design agency Lineos, Chris described it in these terms: “The farm, which was originally made up of three separate buildings, was rebuilt in keeping with the shapes and colours of the neighbouring farms, but featuring its own minimalist look, modern-day techniques and a contemporary interior offering plenty of light, a beautiful view and spatial qualities. The project was created from the inside out, with a great deal of attention devoted to the natural surroundings and the occupants’ comfort. The entire project enjoyed the same detailed finishing. The converted barn now houses four rooms as well as an indoor swimming pool with a relaxation area and bar. The buildings are interconnected below ground level.”
